Working sketches for alternative map of River Lee
A blog post from Mary Yacoob on her Canalology project:
Here are my working drawings for my alternative map of the River Lee in Tottenham. I decided on the blue waving symbol for water and the green cross hatching symbol for grass pretty early on. The light and dark purple horizontal lines for the roads and buildings were influenced by the layout of Google maps. The orange and and green border decorative details were influenced by the archival maps I found in the antique maps catalogues.
